There is NO day, like a SNOW day! :)

Thank you all for taking the time to pack your child's snow pants, boots, gloves, ...they are having so much fun at the end of the day playing in the snow with their friends! It's only the second day and they are already getting dressed by themselves! ...I need to zip a coat here and there, pull on a glove, ...but for the most part, they are independent! YEAH!! Here are a few pics for your enjoyment! I did my best to try to capture everyone's excitement. Please forgive me if I didn't get a picture of your child, the glare was blinding! ...I did my best. :) Thanks for understanding!

Equality

We talked a lot about Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. today. We read books, had discussions, simulated fair and unfair treatment, and did this simple demonstration with eggs. We compared our skin to that of the eggs' shells. Then, we cracked them open to see the inside. Even though they are a different color on the outside, they are still the same on the inside. We then applied this to people, even though we look differently on the outside, we are still the same on the inside. Everyone should be treated equally.
