Veterans Day Celebration

On Friday, we invited relatives of our kindergarteners that are veterans to come to our school. Our Superintendent, Dr. Z also joined us as he is a veteran of the Airforce. The purpose of our assembly was not only to honor our veterans, but also to learn from them. We had 9 veterans here representing the Marines, Army, and Airforce. They shared with us how they were respectful, responsible, safe, kind, and brave (BT Values) in the military. They had wonderful examples to share! We sang the National Anthem to them, a Thankful song to them, and then we went back to our classrooms and wrote a thank you card to give to vets at VA hospital. We are blessed to be surrounded by such brave and honorable men and women.

Adding with Candy Corn

We worked with a partner to solve addition problems using dice and candy corn. After following directions and working hard, they earned a piece of candy corn to eat! :)
